How to

Develop Your Project

01

Take some time to reflect on what sparked your interest and curiosity. You might find that something that started as routine homework assignment becomes an intellectual obsession. Or maybe there’s some burning question that you’ve never quite had the opportunity to explore in class, but you always wanted to.

2026 Senior Synthesis Projects

The 2026 Senior Synthesis Project Program is LAB 104’s signature capstone for high school seniors preparing for U.S. college admissions. Each student is paired with a dedicated mentor to design and complete a university-level STEM research or innovation project. Through a guided process—from proposal to final presentation—students produce a polished capstone that highlights academic maturity, creativity, and readiness for competitive undergraduate programs.

02

2026 Independent Study Projects

The 2026 Undergraduate Independent Study Projects program provides university students with mentor-guided opportunities to pursue advanced research or applied innovation in STEM. Participants work closely with LAB 104 faculty advisors to develop a focused study plan, conduct independent inquiry, and produce a substantive academic or technical project. This program helps students deepen expertise, strengthen their portfolios, and prepare for graduate studies or professional pathways.

03

2026 Future Scholar Initiatives

The 2026 Future Scholar Initiatives program supports undergraduate seniors and post-baccalaureate students seeking advanced academic or research experience. Through one-on-one mentorship, participants design and complete high-level STEM projects—ranging from applied innovation to publication-ready research. This program strengthens graduate school competitiveness, builds scholarly credibility, and helps students transition into master’s, MPH, MS, or PhD programs with confidence.
